The Student Education Scholarship from Low-Income Communities (Masyarakat Berpenghasilan Rendah -MBR) is a collaborative program initiated by the Surabaya City Government in collaboration with companies, educational institutions and non-profit organizations, which helps Surabaya city students from underprivileged families to continue their formal education at the elementary level and public and private junior high schools. In line with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the Education pillar, Indosat Ooredoo provides subsidies for monthly tuition fees for these students until they graduate at the junior high school level.

In addition to educational scholarships, Indosat Ooredoo also distributed direct assistance in the form of tens of thousands of IM3 Ooredoo starter packs along with one-month data packages that can be used to access education portals and conference services. The starter pack can also be registered through each school to get monthly quota assistance from the government for the period September to December 2020.
